【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheclassification,materialsofconstruction,workmanship,minimumphysicalrequirements,andmethodsoftestingglass-fiberreinforcedpolyesterplasticpanelsintendedforuseinconstruction.Panelsforspecializedoruniqueapplicationsmayrequirevaluessignificantlyaboveorbelowthosestatedinthisspecification.RecommendedpracticesforcertainspecificapplicationsareincludedasAppendixX1.Thisspecificationisnotintendedtorestrictorlimittechnologicalchangesaffectingperformancewhenthosechangesareagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandtheseller.1.2Supplementaryinformationonchemicalresistance,resistancetoheat,andinstallationpracticesareprovidedinAppendixX1.1.3Theclassificationoftheseplasticpanelsintotypesbasedonrelativeresponsetoalaboratorytestshallnotbeconsideredafirehazardclassification.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseinTablesandFigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.1.6Laboratoryflammabilitytests(TestMethodsD635,D1929,D2843,andE84)applicabletothisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthesetestsmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.1.7Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section8ofthisspecification.Thisspecificationdoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisspecificationtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
