【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsprovidedatausefulforevaluatingthechemicaldurability(see3.1.4)ofglasswasteformsasmeasuredbyelementalrelease.Accordingly,itmaybeapplicablethroughoutmanufacturing,research,anddevelopment.TestMethodAcanspecificallybeusedtoobtaindatatoevaluatewhetherthechemicaldurabilityofglasswasteformshavebeenconsistentlycontrolledduringproduction(seeTable1).TestMethodBcanspecificallybeusedtomeasurethechemicaldurabilityofglasswasteformsundervariousleachingconditions,forexample,varyingtestdurations,testtemperatures,ratioofsample-surfacearea(S)toleachantvolume(V)(seeAppendixX1),andleachanttypes(seeTable1).Datafromthistestmayformpartofthelargerbodyofdatathatarenecessaryinthelogicalapproachtolong-termpredictionofwasteformbehavior(seePracticeC1174).1.1TheseproductconsistencytestmethodsAandBevaluatethechemicaldurabilityofhomogeneousglasses,phaseseparatedglasses,devitrifiedglasses,glassceramics,and/ormultiphaseglassceramicwasteformshereaftercollectivelyreferredtoasx201C;glasswasteformsx201D;bymeasuringtheconcentrationsofthechemicalspeciesreleasedtoatestsolution.1.1.1TestMethodAisaseven-daychemicaldurabilitytestperformedat90x00B1;2x00B0;CinaleachantofASTM-TypeIwater.Thetestmethodisstaticandconductedinstainlesssteelvessels.TestMethodAcanspecificallybeusedtoevaluatewhetherthechemicaldurabilityandelementalreleasecharacteristicsofnuclear,hazardous,andmixedglasswasteformshavebeenconsistentlycontrolledduringproduction.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoradioactiveandsimulatedglasswasteformsasdefinedabove.1.1.2TestMethodBisadurabilitytestthatallowstestingatvarioustestdurations,testtemperatures,meshsize,massofsample,leachantvolume,andleachantcompositions.ThistestmethodisstaticandcanbeconductedinstainlesssteelorPFATFE-fluorocarbonvessels,orboth.TestMethodBcanspecificallybeusedtoevaluatetherelativechemicaldurabilitycharacteristicsofhomogeneousglasses,phaseseparatedglasses,devitrifiedglasses,glassceramics,and/ormultiphaseglassceramicwasteforms.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoradioactive(nuclear)andmixed,hazardous,andsimulatedwasteformsasdefinedabove.TestMethodBcannotbeusedasaconsistencytestforproductionofhighlevelradioactiveglasswasteforms.1.2Thesetestmethodsmustbeperformedinaccordancewithallqualityassurancerequirementsforacceptanceofthedata.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
